dahdi software package provides utilities for using the DAHDI kernel modules, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dahdi
dahdi is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dahdi package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dahdi *
You will get with dahdi package name, version, architecture and description in a table
